{I am a little behind on this post. I've had this draft since February}
Wow! Look at these pictures.
This just doesn't happen very often where we live.
The kids even got out of school an hour early and started school 2 hours late the next day. What a fun storm!
And it was the perfect excuse to make this:
Here is the recipe for 2 loaves:
2 1/2 cups warm water
2 T yeast
1/2 cup honey
5 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or spelt)
1/2 cup gluten
2 tsp sea salt
4 T non-fat dry milk
2 T oil (or butter)
2 T vinegar
1/2 cup potato flakes
Combine water, yeast and honey. Let bubble.
Mix ingredients in order listed with dough hook attachment for 12-15 minutes.
Let rise until double.
Punch down and shape into loaf or rolls.
Let rise again.
Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when slightly tapped.
